MFO Notice on COVID-19 Virus

Hello MFO Patients & Family,

As we all join together to help flatten the curve of the novel COVID-19 virus, our practice will remain compliant with the CDC, ADA and NYS government regulations and orders. It is our combined effort to do our part in protecting our team and patient family. Therefore, our office will remain closed until the executive order has been removed. At this time, we project reopening on 6/15. *subject to change*

Clear aligner patients may request additional aligners to be mailed should there be no need for in-office visits such as placement or removal of attachments or filing.

Patients with fixed appliances, such as braces or expanders, should maintain excellent hygiene during the lapse in visits. Should there be any emergencies or concerns, please contact our team at info@manhattanfamilyorthodontics.com or by leaving a voice message at 212-207-8028, we will help guide you through any orthodontic difficulties.

Remain NEW YORK STRONG and healthy.

Some At-Home Tips:

Be much more careful of the foods you eat. We know that you are very careful with your orthodontic appliances; however, we ask that you take an extra step of care to reduce chances of breakage.

Braces

Wires: Use orthodontic wax that was provided for any poking/scratching wires for temporary relief.

Brackets: Should a bracket become detached from the tooth, please email the office and send a picture so that we may advise care for your specific needs.

Clear Aligners

Missing attachments: Should you lose an attachment, please do not proceed to your next aligner. Remain in the current aligner until you are able to schedule an appointment for replacement.

Lost/Broken Aligner: Please move back into the previous tray. i.e, if you lose or break tray #5, move back into tray #4. Let us know by email the tray set that we will need to re-order. Please keep in mind that our labs may be experiencing delays.
